We have 400 hectares of indigenous trees, pristine bush and excellent birding. The reserve boasts a wide variety of antelope as well as giraffe, zebra and wildebeest.
Smaller animals, interesting insects and reptiles can also be viewed. New species of game such Somabula offers self-catering chalets, a lovely shaded camping ground and accommodation in beautifully restored ox Day visitors can arrange to make use of the Lapa with its braai.
Game drives and horse rides led by a knowledgeable guide are offered which makes it possible to get very close to the game.
WHAT TO DO:
Game drives on an open game viewing vehicle (Miss Daisy) are conducted by a qualified ranger. On a night drive expect to see an array of nocturnal animals such as the lesser bushbaby, porcupine and antbears.
There are more than 30km of road and trails for walking and mountain biking in an area rich in wildlife and history.
Experience magnificent wildlife from horseback - game rides bring you closer to game than you can possibly achieve on foot. Move amongst giraffe or view large herds of eland, zebra and wildebeest. Trails led by an experienced guide on good quality horses.
